Chad later attended Winona State University, where he met his future wife, Vy Qwaint. Chad married Vy Qwaint on July 31, 2011. The couple celebrated their union with two ceremonies—one in Vy's hometown in Vietnam and another in Chad's hometown in Minnesota. They currently reside in Las Vegas, Nevada, where they continue to produce content for their YouTube channels. 

Health Challenges and Resilience

In December 2022, Chad revealed that he had been diagnosed with eight tumors on his spine, which were causing significant back pain. After undergoing surgery and radiation therapy, he announced in April 2023 that he was on the road to recovery.
